Who you’re buying from

The seller is Audley & Oxford Ltd (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England, trading as Raising Legends. You can contact us at hello@raisinglegends.ai.

What we’re selling

A personalised hardback children’s book. The story text is substituted with your child’s first name and pronouns, and the illustrations are generated using AI to include your child’s face based on a photograph you provide. Each book is 24 pages, 8.5 × 8.5 inches, hardback with a printed casewrap cover.

Price and payment

The price shown at checkout is the final price payable, in Pounds Sterling, and includes free delivery within the United Kingdom. VAT (where applicable) is included. Payment is taken by Stripe at checkout.

How your book is made

  1. You choose a story and enter your child’s name and pronouns.
  2. You upload a photograph of your child.
  3. Our AI generates 24 illustrations that place your child in the scenes of the story. You preview the illustrations before paying.
  4. Once you pay, we build a print-ready PDF and submit it to Lulu, our print partner, who prints and posts the hardback to you.

Delivery

We ship worldwide with tracked delivery (Lulu Direct PRIORITY_MAIL). Shipping cost and delivery estimate are shown at checkout based on your address:

If your book takes longer than 30 days to arrive we will contact you and offer a full refund or a re-print, at your choice.

Your right to cancel

The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a 14-day right to cancel most goods purchased at a distance. This right does not apply to personalised goods that have been made to your specification. Your Raising Legends book is personalised the moment you press “Order” — a unique PDF is generated from your child’s photograph and sent to Lulu for printing. From that moment the book is not resellable to anyone else, so the 14-day cancellation right does not apply.

You can still cancel free of charge before payment — nothing is charged until you click Order at the checkout page.

After payment, we will still refund you in the following cases:

To request a refund, email hello@raisinglegends.ai within 30 days of receiving the book, ideally with a photograph of the issue.

The photograph you upload

You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child in the photograph, that you have the right to upload it, and that you consent to us using it to generate illustrations for the book you have ordered. Please see our privacy notice for details of how the photo is used, stored and deleted.

Content and safety

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if the uploaded photograph is not of a child, is unlawful, or if the requested personalisation appears designed to harass or harm someone. If we cancel an order for this reason we will refund you in full.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with any book you order is limited to the amount you paid for that book.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except that consumers resident in another UK country may bring claims in their local courts.
